I love how they name the place: Reading Lights. It does, indeed. Reading will light up some dark spaces in our head and, thus, light up the path we’re taking in our brief time on earth. Okay, that’s cheesy but you know what I mean.
I’ve been there once. I went last Sunday on Slow Reading Book Club second meeting because apparently Kineruku was closed every Sunday night. It was a quick visit but enough to convince me that the place was perfect for reading activity (hence the title).
We’re going to have the third meeting of our Slow Reading Club at Reading Lights today, Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 3 PM WIB. We’ll spend 30 minutes slow-reading on the “readers couch” and we’ll have a nice cup of coffee then we’ll split/go home. Reading Lights is on Jl. Siliwangi no. 16, Bandung.
You might notice that the word “book” is missing. Yes, I ditch the book (the word it is) because the main activity is not discussion but slow-reading. We’ll just slow read for 30 minutes and that’s it. That’s the whole point of the club.
So, from now on, it’s Slow Reading Club. See you there and remember, it’s always free (except for the coffee).
